Pinkeye, a renowned design team, has created a unique and innovative BBQ design called Buck. Inspired by the simple drawing of a rabbit, Buck brings a touch of emotion and playfulness to the traditionally technical world of BBQs. With its distinctive features and attention to detail, Buck is set to revolutionize the way we experience outdoor cooking.

One of the standout features of Buck is its patented "Easy Ash Removal System," which makes cleaning and emptying the BBQ a breeze. By lifting the lid below the grill using the side handles, users can easily brush the remaining ashes into a round container located in the base of the BBQ. This container can then be lifted out and emptied into the trash bin, eliminating the hassle of dealing with messy ashes.

Designed for Matro, a brand looking to expand its range of products, Buck was chosen as the flagship design for their new higher-end range. Pinkeye was not only responsible for the BBQ design but also for creating the entire visual identity of the brand, including the logo, color scheme, and even the naming. This cohesive approach ensures that Buck stands out as a unique and recognizable product in the market.

Constructed using steel and powder coating, Buck is not only visually appealing but also durable and long-lasting. Its dimensions of 928mm in height and 518mm in diameter make it a practical and versatile addition to any outdoor space.

The design process for Buck started in December 2010, and the product was first launched in March 2012. Throughout the project, the design team faced the challenge of infusing fun and emotion into a typically technical product category. However, their innovative approach and attention to detail resulted in a design that brings joy and excitement to the BBQ experience.

Buck's exceptional design and unique features have garnered recognition in the industry. In 2013, it was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Home Appliances Design category. This prestigious accolade highlights Buck's outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill, as well as its ability to evoke positive feelings and wonder in users.
